Guiding Principles

The church is founded on 5 guiding principles:

1. Multiracial – Racial Reconciliation

2. Gospel Based – Word of God

3. Get to Know Jesus Personally

4. Learn to Love Like Jesus

5. Serve Like Jesus

1. Multiracial – Racial Reconciliation

United in Christ, celebrating diversity.
We believe the Church of Jesus Christ should reflect the beauty of heaven — a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language (Revelation 7:9). At KUCJC, we embrace diversity as God’s design and pursue reconciliation across all racial and cultural lines. Through Christ, the dividing walls are torn down and we are made one body (Ephesians 2:14–16).

2. Gospel-Based – Word of God

Rooted in the unshakable truth of Scripture.
The foundation of our faith is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, revealed in God’s Word. Scripture is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), providing direction and power for our daily walk. Every ministry, teaching, and outreach at KUCJC flows from the Bible, for it is the solid rock on which we stand (Matthew 7:24–25).

3. Get to Know Jesus Personally

A relationship, not just a religion.
Jesus desires a personal relationship with each of us. He said, “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me” (John 10:14). At KUCJC, we encourage every believer to walk with Jesus daily through prayer, worship, and discipleship, discovering the joy of knowing Him intimately.

4. Learn to Love Like Jesus

Love is the mark of true discipleship.
Jesus commanded us, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34). We believe loving like Jesus means extending grace, forgiveness, and compassion in every relationship. At KUCJC, we strive to model Christ’s love so the world may see Him through us.

5. Serve Like Jesus

Serving others is serving Christ.
Jesus came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). At KUCJC, we follow His example by meeting the needs of our community with humility and joy. Whether through outreach, care, or simple acts of kindness, we believe that when we serve others, we serve the Lord Himself (Matthew 25:40).
